Ann Arbor, Michigan

Zach Shigeto grew up in Michigan, in a town outside of Detroit called Ann Arbor. Being a college town, there’s been a rich music culture for decades, from Iggy & The Stooges going to Zac’s high school back in the 1960s, right through to contemporaries such as Laurel Halo, Samiyam, Dabrye, and the label Ghostly International all hailing from the town.
